Like any other official process, certain regulations have to be followed to transfer vehicle ownership in the UAE. Both the seller and buyer have to provide a set of mandatory documents to ensure a quick and efficient transfer of ownership.
Things to Consider:
Keep these factors in mind when you have to transfer car ownership.
- Both the buyer and seller have to be physically present for the transfer. In the vent that either party is unavailable, an authorized legal representative has to appear instead. Please note that the power of attorney in the name of the representative has to be issued beforehand.
- The seller has to clear all pending traffic fines before a transfer can be made.
- The application has to include registration, possession, and export or transfer service.
- Transferring car ownership after the death of the owner is a slightly longer process. A representative has to appear in the Dubai court and get a letter issued along with a death certificate. These documents have to be presented at the service center for the process to move
